Just curious about this because at this point this is pretty much just a M&B mod. The stat system is ripped directly from M&B. Getting started as a new player I had a little bit of an easier time, for instance knowing that every 3 points put into a main stat allows you to put another level into its substats. Not that this is inherently a bad thing, but having sunk hundreds of hours into M&B over the years (probably over 1000) off the bat this game is plagued by the same issues M&B is. Literally EVERYTHING in the overworld is directly from M&B.

I suppose the UI, which includes inventory and character stats, is by no menas the final version, it may be split into two windows, one for the inventory and one for the character stats. But the game is in EA, as the devs said, a lot of things are going to change. The complaints are really exaggerated, sorry, yes, some parts of the campaign map are (very) similar to Warband, some UI elements too, some mechanics too, at least in the actual state of the game, but they are functional, even if they may lack originality. In any case, this does not change the fact that it's not the same game, it's not just a Warband clone, and it does not copy everything from Warband. You're right in that the stats system is very similar to that of Warband except for the weapons proficiencies, one could argue it looks like a downgraded version of it, but even if so, what's your point? Are you expecting a total innovation? The system works in this stage of the game and may change during development.

Well, I've played more than 2000 hours M&B, mods included, and I don't agree with everything you said: The gameplay is similar, but not identical. The stat system is almost cut and paste from M&B, including how certain stats impact your party and how they interact with the overworld.Д¬all me crazy but any player that has sunk any time into M&B will agree with everything I am saying here. Also the comparisons 'well COD has guns so must be a copy', people I am talking about DISCRETE GAMEPLAY MECHANICS, NOT THINGS THAT APPEAR TO BE SIMILAR.

Unless you've put time into M&B you wouldn't realize how identical they are. It'd be one thing if the overworld just looked like M&B but the stat system, and how it impacts overworld gameplay, is almost identical to M&B.
